How this is figured
Every result comes from the same arithmetic. We work out the cubic footage of what you are building, then convert it to weight at 155 pounds per cubic foot, which is what our Tennessee Natural Stone runs.

Where a size is given as a range, the result is shown as a range too. Tons = cubic feet × 155 ÷ 2,000. River rock is the exception — it is rounded and loose rather than cut, so it is figured at 100 pounds per cubic foot.
